Free Drums
One place you may be able to find free drums is your local Freecycle list. Freecycle is a great community resource where people give away stuff that they do not want.Where to get drum kits?
Ok, so you probably cannot pick-up a drum kit for free, but odds are you can get one pretty cheap. The first place we recommend checking out is Craigslist. Also, local penny saver papers sometimes have good deals. I tend to think you get the best deals from people who don't know a lot about drum kits or need to get rid of their kit soon. No matter what, when you buy a kit, take someone along who can help you evaluate the drum heads. It could cost over $100 to have new heads put on which would make your cheap drum kit look less so.
Do you like drums? Can you define what a drum is?
A drum is a musical instrument in the percussion family, technically classified as a membranophone. Drums consist of at least one membrane, called a "drumhead" or "drum skin", that is stretched over a shell and struck, either directly with parts of a player's body, or with some sort of implement such as a drumstick, to produce sound. Drums are the world's oldest and most ubiquitous musical instruments, and the basic design has remained virtually unchanged for thousands of years.
